Cardiac Rehabilitation
The Cardiac Rehabilitation program takes your unique needs to heart, custom-designing a plan to help you attain and maintain good health. Rehabilitation begins while you are still in the hospital. The cardiac rehab team will help you and your family understand what happen to your heart and the lifestyle changes needed to decrease the risk of recurring illness. After you leave the hospital, cardiac rehab continues on an outpatient basis. Again, our cardiac rehab team will create an individually designed exercise program, educational sessions, counseling on lifestyle modification and stress education.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Sometimes pulmonary and cardiac diseases go hand in hand. Pulmonary Rehabilitation helps many people to enjoy more productive lives by helping them better cope with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) including conditions such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma and other chronic lung disorders. In pulmonary rehab you learn techniques for controlling shortness of breath or managing the tasks of daily living.

Peripheral Arterial Disease Rehabilitation
This rehab program, designed for people diagnosed of showing symptoms of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), focuses on increasing the body’s overall endurance and strength. Our team uses various exercise techniques to improve function and mobility and counseling methods to enhance the awareness of risk factors associated with PAD and heart disease.

Adult Fitness
If you don’t need cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation but want to lower your risk for disease, we offer the Adult Fitness Program. To help you stay well, we will work with you to create an exercise program tailored to your abilities and needs. Through Adult Fitness, we offer a variety of exercise equipment, and you exercise under the supervision of the same highly trained staff who works with cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients.

The program and services helps patients who:
  • Have been diagnosed with heart problems such as coronary artery disease, angina, congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction (heart attack) and valvular disease.
  • Have undergone coronary artery bypass grafting or cardiac interventions such as angioplasty.
  • Are at high risk for developing heart disease because of family history, stress or lifestyle.

Talk with your doctor about the benefits of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. A referral from your doctor is necessary for you to enter into the CardioPulmonary Wellness program.
